CINDY SIBILSKY
Cindy Sibilsky is a prolific writer, reviewer, panelist and moderator with a focus on global cultural exchange. Her hundreds of articles, reviews, special features, interviews and photo galleries about arts & culture (theater, dance, film, music, opera, visual and culinary Arts) and travel can be seen in many publications -- including internationally -- and have been translated into Arabic, Spanish, Japanese and Chinese. She is a regular staff contributor for Broadway World, StageBiz and Anime News Network, among others, including The Beirut Times, JRock News, Arab Voices, Bostonese and has a bi-lingual column in The Panama Good Times newspaper. Cindy is also working on international features for American Theater Magazine, European Stages, Inspiring Lives Magazine and is developing a book and documentary series on contemporary and traditional expressions in performing arts worldwide. She was named as an important "Global Theatre Influencer" in Metropolitan Magazine's Influencers Issue (June 2019). Her work and travels have been sponsored by notable cultural and government foundations, hotels & airlines, and Ministries of Tourism. Cindy Sibilsky has regularly acted as a panelist and moderator for multiple arts and cultural events. AMERICAN THEATRE MAGAZINE SPECIAL EDITION ON JAPANESE CONTEMPORARY THEATRE:
In 2019 Cindy Sibilsky acted as guest editor, curator and main features writer for an exclusive international edition of the magazine showcasing Japanese contemporary performing arts in the 21st century with partner Shin Kurokawa as translator/transcriber. The pair conducted over 35 interviews and saw more than 25 shows in six major cities in Japan as part of their research. This extensive coverage of Japanese theatre today was considered unprecedented in history and scope and was sponsored and supported by
